Details of device used to shoot videos are unknown

Prajwal could face an additional charge under IPC section 204

Prajwal's arrest marks a significant moment in the case

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan Prajwal Revanna has been apprehended by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru upon his arrival from Germany. A team of women officials escorted him from the airport to the office for initiating the inquiry. How his arrest will impact the proceedings in the case filed against him remains to be seen.

Reports suggest that a crucial aspect that is being considered by the SIT is whether or not Prajwal has possession of the device through which the obscene videos were shot. The videos are at the crux of the cases filed against him and the allegations he’s being charged with. The SIT would ideally want to uncover the details and whereabouts of the device which was used for shooting. If the investigation reveals that the device has been destroyed or kept hidden, Prajwal would face an additional charge under section 204 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) that deals with erasure of documentation that is to be produced as evidence in front of the court.
