Event will kick off at 10 am from ITC Windsor on January 21

This weekend in Bengaluru, a grand gathering of vintage cars and bikes is set to take place as part of the annual Historic Vehicles Drive on January 21.

Organized by the Federation of Historic Vehicles of India (FHVI), the event will kick off at 10 am from ITC Windsor on Golf Course Road and conclude around 1 pm at ITC Gardenia on Residency Road. The scenic route will traverse prominent Bengaluru landmarks including Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, and M G Road.

Under the theme ‘Wheels to Vision,’ the drive aims to promote awareness about eye donation. Collaborating with Shraddha Eye Care, the charity arm of Nethradhama Hospitals, the organizers plan to involve about 30 visually impaired children in the event. These children will ride in the vintage cars, assisting the drivers in navigating the route with the aid of Braille navigation maps.

Highlighting the rich history of automotive craftsmanship, the event will feature 65 vintage cars, with the oldest being a 1909 Wolsley, and 46 vintage bikes, led by a 1930s Harley Davidson. The lineup includes iconic vehicles such as vintage Mercedes, Jaguar, Ford, and Austin-Healey cars, alongside historic Indian, Aerial, Norton, Triumph, and BSA motorcycles.

It promises to be a nostalgic journey through time and a unique opportunity to support a noble cause.
