We are not receiving our share for developmental projects: DK Suresh
From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we are one nation: Kharge
We cannot attribute to him something which he did not say: Kharge
Bengaluru Rural Member of Parliament (MP) DK Suresh representing the Indian National Congress (INC) has stoked a controversy through his reaction to the Union Budget. “We are not receiving our share for developmental projects. It is reaching parts of northern India. This is injustice. If we do not condemn this it may lead to a situation wherein we would be forced to make demands for a separate nation,” he said on February 1st.

President of the Indian National Congress (INC) Mallikarjun Kharge responded to these comments during a Rajya Sabha session. “He stated that his comments have been misrepresented. If he has made insidious comments, action must be taken. If anyone talks about breaking the nation, we will not tolerate it. The person can be from any party. The individual may belong to the INC or any other party. To maintain the unity of the nation, no matter what opinion anyone holds, I will say that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we are one nation. This is why Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives. Can such a party talk about breaking the nation? But we cannot attribute to him something which he did not say,” he clarified.
