Way back in 2011, he had spent as many as 4 weeks in the same jail in relation to a domestic violence case. His wife Vijayalakshmi had accused him of ill-treating her that included burning her with cigarette butts, revolver and even threat.
He was released after his wife withdrew the case against him, reportedly as part of a truce brokered by the industry. Later on, he travelled across the state, as if to apologise to the people of the state for his action.
Darshan and others have been accused of kidnapping and murdering Renukaswamy, a pharmacy store owner.
He was led into a shed in Bengaluru’s RR Nagar where he was brutally murdered. Before this, he was tortured, which also included electrocution.
Later, his body was disposed of in a drain as if to portray it was a murder related to financial fraud. But the police were too good to be fooled as they extracted all information threadbare leading to immaculate collection of clinching evidence.
