    Karnataka scripted its first ever victory in the Cooch Behar Trophy

    Prakhar Chaturvedi stunned Mumbai with a score of 404

A young cricket player from Karnataka has drawn the nation’s attention towards him. Having won the Cooch Behar trophy, the juniors have set an example for the seniors who are currently playing the Ranji Trophy. The skills demonstrated by the juniors in the final was extraordinary. Howas the final? 

The Karnataka team scripted history in the final of the Cooch Behar Trophy. The Under-19 team defeated Mumbai in the final which was played in the Navul stadium in Shivamogga. Mumbai were bowled out for 380 in the first innings. Karnataka posted 890 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in response. 

The batsmen played for 223 overs. Having won the trophy on account of the innings lead, Karnataka scripted history. This is the first ever victory in the Cooch Behar Trophy for Karnataka. 

Opener Prakhar Chaturvedi stunned Mumbai with a score of 404 in the first innings. His 638-ball innings consisted of 44 fours and 3 sixes. 

Legendary Indian allrounder Yuvraj Singh had scored 358 in the Cooch Behar final held in 1999. That was a record in the context of the final for 24 years until it was broken by Prakhar Chaturvedi. Other notable performances include Hardik Raj who picked up 4 wickets and Harshal Dharmani who scored 169 runs.
