On February 8th, Sumadhura Group, a prominent logistics infrastructure firm, unveiled a noteworthy announcement: Zomato, the renowned food delivery platform, has secured a lease for a custom-built warehousing facility spanning an impressive three lakh square feet.

This agreement signals Zomato’s intent to establish its largest warehousing hub in India, strategically positioned within the Sumadhura Logistics Park on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

The Sumadhura Group has committed an initial investment of Rs 600 crore to kickstart the first phase of the Sumadhura Logistics Park. Encompassing a vast expanse of 100 acres, this phase offers a substantial 2.5 million square feet of commercial warehouse space. However, the company’s ambitions don’t end here. Plans are already in motion to expand the park’s total warehouse capacity to an astounding six million square feet in subsequent phases, reflecting a robust commitment to meeting escalating demands in the logistics sector.
