Bus driver lost control of steering wheel resulting in toppling

Dead bodies have been shifted to the Holalkere Taluk Hospital

A private bus headed to Gokarna from Bengaluru met with an accident. The bus was associated with the ‘Seabird Tourists’ travel agency. The accident occurred in the Holalkere Taluk of the Chitradurga district of Karnataka. The bus driver lost control of the steering wheel resulting in the bus getting toppled. 

The accident resulted in the death of 4 people. 8 others have been grievously injured. 25 passengers who were onboard have had other minor injuries as well. The dead bodies have been shifted to the Holalkere Taluk Hospital. The injured individuals are being treated in the same hospital.

Unscientific construction of the road can be said to be a leading cause for repeated accidents. The area wherein the accident unfolded falls under the jurisdiction of the Holalkere Police Station.
