Special early metro services on Sunday for TCS World 10K event
Metro operations will commence at 03:35 am from all four terminals

The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has unveiled special early metro services on Sunday to facilitate participants and spectators attending the TCS World 10K Bengaluru event at the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground.

According to reports, metro operations will commence at 03:35 am from all four terminals – Nagasandra, Silk Institute, Whitefield (Kadugodi), and Challaghatta metro stations. Trains will run at 10-minute intervals from 03:35 am to 04:25 am. The first service from Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station (Majestic) towards MG Road is scheduled for 04:10 am. Subsequently, trains will continue to operate every 10 minutes until 5 am, with the possibility of additional services being introduced based on passenger demand.
This initiative aims to ensure seamless and punctual transportation for participants and spectators heading to the 16th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru, slated for Sunday, April 28. With over 28,000 registered participants, the event holds the prestigious World Athletics Gold Label Road Race designation.
In a previous move to support commuters, BMRCL extended metro services beyond regular hours during the Lok Sabha polls in Bengaluru on April 26. Trains operated until 12:35 am on April 27 instead of the usual closing time of 11:55 pm, granting additional travel time post-polling.
