The death of a 2nd year Pre University Course (PUC) student named Prabuddha under mysterious conditions had sent shockwaves across Bengaluru. The 21-year-old was found in the bathroom of her house with her throat being slit. The Subramanyapura Police are conducting an investigation into this incident. Prabuddha’s phone is being inspected. 

Whether Prabuddha committed suicide or whether she was murdered is the question the police is attempting to answer. A postmortem of Prabuddha’s body has been conducted. The report would arrive in a span of 2-3 days. The police have however sought the verbal opinion of the doctors even before the report is published. The doctors are inclined to believe that the death was a result of a suicide attempt.

The police have reportedly recovered 3 death notes from Prabuddha. It is believed that the words ‘Amma Sorry’ appear on the death note. However the death note is apparently not matching with Prabuddha’s handwriting in her notebooks. The samples have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to obtain a better match. The report will offer more clarity in the case. 

CCTV cameras are being monitored to identify suspicious movements of individuals between 1:30 PM when Prabuddha entered her house and 3:30 PM when her dead body was spotted. More than 1000 CCTV DVRs are being inspected from the areas in and around Prabuddha’s house located in Brindavan Layout.
