Amidst raising temperatures, an update would bring relief to millions in Bengaluru. The people of Bengaluru have been anticipating rain for more than a month. The forecasts offer a glimmer of hope. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre posted their forecast on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). “Widespread light to moderate amounts of rain can be expected in regions falling under the ambit of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP),” the post mentioned. Sparse amounts of rain has been predicted in the Whitefield region with the rest of the city likely to receive moderate amounts of rain. The likelihood of the city receiving rain would be between 8:30 AM on 19th April until 8:30 AM on 20th April. 

Similar trends can be witnessed in other parts of Karnataka as well. Certain regions might also witness lightning. The coastal region, the interior regions of South Karnataka and the interior regions of North Karnataka are some of the regions that could possibly witness the surge in rain. This is expected to happen between April 19th and April 21st. The districts of Belgaum and Athani will likely witness intense rain in this period.
