Bellandur Metro Station on the Blue Line to Carry Prestige Name as Part of a Major Advertising and Commercial Partnership
Bengaluru’s Namma Metro has entered into a major commercial partnership with Prestige Group, signing a ₹90 crore agreement that allows the real estate major to associate its brand name with the Bellandur Metro Station. This long-term agreement will remain in force for 30 years from the date the station becomes operational.
Under this deal, Bellandur station, located on the Silk Board to KR Puram stretch of the Blue Line corridor, will carry the Prestige name. The partnership also includes extensive advertising and commercial rights within the station premises, marking one of the largest branding agreements signed by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
Officials said this move is aimed at boosting non-ticket revenue while offering brands long-term visibility in high-footfall public infrastructure. The Blue Line, which connects key IT and residential hubs, is expected to see heavy commuter traffic, making the Bellandur station a strategic choice for such a commercial arrangement.

This is not the first time Namma Metro has adopted a station naming model. On the Yellow Line, similar branding agreements are already in place. Hebbagodi station carries the Biocon name, while Electronic City station has been branded after Delta. With the Prestige agreement, this revenue-generating model is now being extended to the Blue Line as well.
Metro officials believe such partnerships will play a crucial role in strengthening the financial sustainability of the network. The long-term commercial and advertising rights bundled into the agreement ensure steady income, helping support operational costs and future expansions.
The Silk Board-KR Puram corridor is a critical stretch that connects major employment zones, residential clusters, and business districts. With Bellandur being a prominent IT and commercial hub, the branding deal is expected to deliver high value for both the metro authority and the corporate partner.
