In a social media post tagging Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister D.K. Shivakumar as well as the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Shaw underlined the need for collaborative efforts to resolve the city’s civic problems. She noted that Bengaluru already has global advantages such as talent and climate but remains held back by inadequate infrastructure management.

Her remarks resonated widely among residents, many of whom voiced frustration over poor civic upkeep. Citizens pointed to persistent flooding in key tech corridors such as Sarjapur Road, which disrupts daily life during even moderate rainfall. Others criticized the unchecked dumping of garbage along roadsides and beneath flyovers, describing it as one of the city’s most pressing challenges.
