Under the leadership of GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao, a series of public contact meetings begin across five municipal zones, starting today in Bengaluru Central, to directly hear and resolve civic issues.
To strengthen citizen engagement and ensure faster resolution of civic problems, the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has launched a series of public interaction meetings across five municipal corporation zones. The initiative is being led by GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao, with the first meeting being held today in the Bengaluru Central municipal corporation area.
As part of this programme, one municipal zone has been scheduled each day to allow residents to directly share their grievances. The objective is to create an open platform where citizens can clearly present their concerns related to civic services, ongoing projects, and local infrastructure.

Today’s programme in Bengaluru Central begins with the Commissioner visiting various municipal offices between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM to review administrative functioning and on-ground conditions. Following this, the first public interaction meeting will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, where residents can directly submit their complaints and feedback.
During these meetings, citizens can raise issues related to delayed public works, poor road conditions, sanitation problems, underground drainage, cleanliness, and other essential civic services. The Commissioner will listen to each complaint personally and instruct concerned officials on the spot to take immediate corrective measures.
Senior officials, including municipal commissioners, development and revenue additional commissioners, joint commissioners, department heads, and other senior officers, will be present during these sessions. Their presence ensures quick decision-making and faster redressal of public grievances.
