The Yellow Line of Namma Metro is set to reduce train intervals from 19 minutes to 12 minutes with the induction of new trains, improving commuter convenience on the busy 19km route.
Passengers on the Yellow Line of Namma Metro will have to wait until the end of the year for a 12-minute service during peak hours. Currently, with four trains in operation, services run every 19 minutes. When the line opened in August with three trains, intervals were 25 minutes along the 19km stretch.

The Hebbagodi depot has received a fifth train, undergoing mainline tests including traction, braking, and signalling integration. The train must complete 750km of running on the mainline before entering passenger service. Once operational in early November, it will reduce train intervals to around 15 minutes.
Production of the sixth train is underway with bogies received from China. It is expected to be inducted in December, bringing train frequency down to 12 minutes. Currently, all trains are in service, leaving no spares for maintenance, causing occasional disruptions. Bogies for the seventh and eighth trains have already been shipped from China to bolster future services.
