BESCOM schedules citywide power outages between 10 am and 6 pm; major residential and commercial zones expected to be affected.
Bengaluru is set to undergo widespread electricity interruptions from December 4 to December 8, following maintenance and upgrade works planned by BESCOM. The agency has released a notice confirming that power will be cut every day between 10 am and 6 pm, affecting several busy neighbourhoods across the city.

The outages will not be limited to a single region. According to the schedule, areas across North, South, East, West and Central Bengaluru are likely to experience disruptions during the five-day period. Key tech and residential hubs such as Whitefield, Hoodi, ITPL and Mahadevapura are included in the affected list. Central localities such as Shivajinagar, Richmond Town and parts of MG Road are also expected to face prolonged daytime power loss.
With long outages planned, BESCOM has urged residents to make necessary backup arrangements, especially for essential services like mobile charging, drinking water storage, home equipment and office devices. The advisory aims to minimise inconvenience for households and commercial establishments that rely heavily on uninterrupted power during working hours.
The power cuts are expected to impact residents’ daily routines, office operations, and water pump usage across multiple zones. Commuters and businesses in high-density pockets such as Whitefield and ITPL may see additional delays due to the reliance on electrically operated systems in tech parks and apartment complexes.
As the city prepares for these scheduled disruptions, residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly and stay updated on local outage timings through official BESCOM channels.
