Several areas across south and southwest Bengaluru will experience a scheduled power cut from 10 AM to 4 PM due to urgent maintenance work undertaken by KPTCL, according to BESCOM.
Residents in multiple parts of Bengaluru will face a planned power outage today following emergency maintenance work being carried out by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The power disruption is expected to last for six hours, from 10 am to 4 pm.
As per official information released by BESCOM, the outage will affect key residential, commercial, and institutional areas, including major hospital zones and arterial roads. Areas around NIMHANS and Jayadeva Hospital will remain without electricity during the scheduled hours, along with R.R. Nagar and Banashankari limits.
Localities such as NIMHANS, Kidwai Memorial Institute, Jayanagar, Wilson Garden, Bannerghatta Road, R.V. Road, and IAS Colony will be impacted. Several parts of Jayanagar including 4th T Block and 9th Block, as well as BHEL Layout, Tilak Nagar, Shanti Park, and nearby apartment clusters are also listed under the outage zone.
Power supply will also be disrupted in and around Jayadeva Hospital, NS Palya Main Road, GRB Main Road, Jain Temple Road, and parts of BTM Layout. This includes select areas of BTM 4th Stage, Vyasa Bank Colony, BTM 2nd Stage, and MCHS Layout.
Other affected regions include Shantiniketan School surroundings, MICO Layout, Bannerghatta Main Road, and adjacent KEB Colony areas. Power interruption is also scheduled in BTM 1st Stage, Uttarahalli, Vaddarapalya, Poorna Prajna Layout, and Dwarakanagar.
Further, residents of Banashankari 6th Stage, 80 Feet Road, Srinagar, Hosakerehalli, Thyagarajanagar, Basavanagudi, BSK 3rd Stage, and Katriguppe should prepare for the outage.

Additional localities facing the disruption include Girinagar 4th Phase, ITI Layout, areas along the 100 Feet Ring Road near Kamakya, KR Layout, Sharadanagar, and Chunchughatta.
BESCOM has stated that the outage is necessary to ensure system safety and improve reliability. Consumers are advised to plan their activities accordingly during the interruption period.
