With the Yellow Line now operational, Bengaluru’s metro network gears up for major growth as the Pink Line nears completion and Phase 3 Orange Line begins groundwork.
Bengaluru’s metro system is poised for significant expansion following the launch of the Yellow Line. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that the Pink Line will open in two phases by September 2026. The elevated section from Tavarekere to Kalena Agrahara along Bannerghatta Road, spanning 7.5 km, is expected to be ready by March 2026. Meanwhile, the city’s longest underground metro corridor, covering 13.76 km between Dairy Circle and Nagavara, will pass through major hubs including MG Road and Shivajinagar.
