Bengaluru Metro will add 19,000 sq ft of parking space across 11 stations on Green, Purple, and Yellow Lines, accommodating 3,000 two-wheelers and 220 four-wheelers.
With Bengaluru Metro’s daily ridership crossing the 10-lakh mark following the launch of the Yellow Line, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced plans to significantly expand parking facilities at 11 key stations.

The expansion will cover busy nodes on the Green, Purple, and Yellow Lines, including
- Vijayanagar
- Jayanagar
- Kundalahalli
- National College (near KIMS Hospital)
- Mysuru Road (RSS side)
- Kadugodi Tree Park
- Jayadeva Metro Station
- Attiguppe (Hampinagar)
- Challaghatta
- Peenya Industrial Area
- JP Nagar
In total, 19,000 sq ft of space will be dedicated to accommodate around 3,000 two-wheelers, 220 four-wheelers, and 10 light commercial vehicles.

For instance, Jayanagar Metro Station will provide parking for 330 bikes and 10 cars, while Mysuru Road Station will offer space for 300 bikes, 70 cars, and 10 commercial vehicles.
Parking remains an important non-ticket revenue stream for BMRCL, which earned ₹2.87 crore from tenders last year. The current rates are capped at ₹30 per day for bikes, ₹60 for cars/jeeps, and up to ₹300 for heavy vehicles.
