The directive was issued by Additional Commissioner (Development) Snehal Sudhakar Lokhande during a coordination meeting on Monday. He instructed all engineering teams to identify and categorise ongoing civil works into three stages, completed, in progress, and yet to be started.
To enhance transparency, the corporation will soon introduce a digital colour-coded map displaying the status of each project. The Additional Commissioner also announced that senior officials, including the Commissioner, Additional Commissioners, and Chief Engineer, will conduct daily inspections across all wards to oversee development activities and address issues directly.
In a major administrative move, Mr. Lokhande revealed that a technical workshop will soon be organised for all engineers. The session will clarify new procedures under the reorganised Engineering Department, which will manage arterial roads, sub-arterial roads, lakes, and storm-water drains across divisions.
Additionally, officials have been instructed to update the status of road and pothole repairs using BTP Astram, Raste Gundi Gamana App, and Sahaaya App, ensuring all completed works are digitally uploaded for real-time monitoring.
