Despite being a rich source of nutrition, India has one of the lowest per capita mushroom consumption rates in the world, at just 100 grams per year. In comparison, China consumes 15-20 kg, the US 10 kg, and Europe 8-10 kg per person annually. The summit aims to bridge this gap by promoting mushroom cultivation and encouraging wider consumption across the country.

The event will bring together experts and entrepreneurs from 11 countries, including the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Nepal, and Bhutan, to share knowledge and experiences. It will begin with a two-day conference and exhibition from November 3 to 4, followed by a three-day training session from November 5 to 7 focused on practical cultivation techniques.
