In a massive sanitation campaign, the Central City Municipal Corporation deployed over 108 sanitation workers and heavy machinery to clean 5.6 km of roads and footpaths across six assembly constituencies, removing 55 loads of waste and eliminating 20 garbage black spots.
Central Bengaluru witnessed a large-scale cleanliness operation as the Central City Municipal Corporation launched an intensive sanitation drive to improve urban hygiene and public health. The campaign covered six assembly constituencies and focused on areas with high garbage accumulation and long-pending black spots.
More than 108 pourakarmikas and sanitation staff were deployed for the drive. The operation covered 5.6 kilometres of footpaths and roads, ensuring thorough cleaning of busy public spaces. To handle heavy waste, authorities used 35 tractors and 7 JCB machines, which helped remove 55 tractor loads of garbage. As a result, 20 major black spots across the city were completely eliminated.

The sanitation work was carried out across six key assembly constituencies, with teams identifying garbage-prone areas and conducting targeted cleaning operations.
In Chamarajpet constituency, sanitation teams cleaned the stretch around Sangam Circle and Padarayanapura Road, removing accumulated waste and debris.
In Chickpet constituency, special cleaning drives were carried out in Ward 118 along H. Siddaiah Road, surrounding lanes, and roads under the Kempegowda Nagar sub-division, covering major commercial and pedestrian zones.
In Gandhinagar constituency, intensive cleaning was conducted in front of KC General Hospital, along Anjaneya Temple Road 2nd Cross, and near Rajashankar Kulla Park, improving sanitation in high-footfall areas.

In Shanthinagar constituency, teams cleaned AK Colony, Domlur ward sub-division, and surrounding localities, addressing waste buildup in residential zones.
In Shivajinagar constituency, sanitation workers carried out extensive cleaning around Russell Market and Chandini Chowk, two of the busiest commercial hubs in the city.
In C.V. Raman Nagar constituency, cleaning operations were conducted in Murugeshpalya Church Street and Syndicate Bank Road in Konena Agrahara, improving conditions in residential and commercial streets.
