The Bengaluru West City Corporation (BWCC) has intensified its focus on pending infrastructure works across the Rajarajeshwari Nagar zone, with Commissioner Rajendra KV conducting a comprehensive field inspection on Wednesday to assess the ground-level progress of several key projects.

At the top of the agenda was the beautification and redesign of Nayandahalli Junction, currently being executed under the Suraksha 75 project. The Commissioner directed officials to accelerate work and ensure timely completion, while also stressing that construction activity must be carried out in a manner that causes minimal disruption to the flow of traffic through the busy intersection. The scope of work includes removal of existing traffic islands and a complete junction redesign, both aimed at reducing congestion in the surrounding area.

Rajendra also reviewed progress on the Hosakerehalli flyover and its accompanying service roads, urging officials to wrap up pending work and take targeted measures to address identified accident-prone black spots along the corridor.

The inspection extended to two sites proposed for garbage segregation units — one near Indira Canteen in Deepanjali Nagar and another near Pattanagere. At the first location, he called for a detailed site survey and a report within two days. At the second, officials were asked to verify title deeds and present findings promptly.

Senior BWCC officials, including the Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, and chief engineers, accompanied the Commissioner during the visit.
