NewsFirst IMPACT: Action taken after residents raise alarm over stray dog attacks in Bengaluru apartment

Within four days of the NewsFirst report highlighting stray dog attacks on women, pregnant residents, and children in an apartment complex, authorities stepped in and arranged a separate feeding zone outside the apartment.

A problem that had been troubling residents for days finally saw action after media attention. Residents of Ahad Serenity Apartment in Choodasandra had been struggling with the growing presence of stray dogs inside their residential campus. The situation became serious as several people complained that the dogs were attacking residents.

Following a report aired by NewsFirst, authorities responded quickly and took steps to address the issue within just four days. People living in the apartment complex had earlier expressed frustration and fear over the increasing number of stray dogs. According to residents, nearly 25 stray dogs were staying inside the apartment campus.

Officials also made arrangements so that food for the stray dogs would be provided outside the apartment complex. The aim was to prevent the dogs from entering the residential campus frequently and reduce the risk to residents.
