KPTCL to carry out urgent maintenance work under the 220/66/11 KV SRS Peenya Substation limits; multiple areas in the Peenya division will experience electricity interruption during the day.
Residents in several parts of Bengaluru are likely to experience power disruption today as emergency maintenance work is scheduled in the Peenya division. The interruption in electricity supply will take place under the 220/66/11 KV SRS Peenya substation limits, where the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will be carrying out urgent maintenance work.
According to the official information, electricity supply will remain disrupted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in multiple areas that fall under the substation’s service limits. Authorities have advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to plan their activities accordingly during the scheduled maintenance period.

The power interruption will affect several localities and important roads in the city. Areas likely to face disruption include HMT Road, RNS Apartment area, CMTI, Bore Lingappa Garden and Peenya Police Station Road.
Electricity supply will also be affected in Telephone Exchange area, 6th Cross, Reliance Communication surroundings, Ganapathi Nagar Main Road and Police Station Road, along with Chamundipura locality.
Apart from these places, residents living near Muneswara Temple Road, MEK Layout, Malayali Guest House Road, KHB Layout and Rajeshwari Nagar will also experience temporary power cuts.
The disruption will further extend to areas such as Akash Theatre Road, Friends Circle, Vignana Public School Road, Bhairaveshwara Nagar and Bank Colony.

Several internal roads will also be affected during the maintenance work. These include 6th Main Road, Division Road, 5th Main Road, UCO Bank Road, Tharalak Road and 7th Main Road.
In addition, electricity supply will be interrupted in 3rd Stage areas, Rajagopal Nagar, Kasturi Badavane, GKW Layout, Bairaveshwara Nagar, ESIC Hospital surroundings and nearby localities.
