Several districts, including Bengaluru, may experience light rain and noticeably cooler days as Ditwah cyclone influences Karnataka’s weather pattern.
The influence of the Ditwah cyclone is expected to alter weather conditions across Karnataka, bringing light rainfall and a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures. According to forecasts, several regions, including both southern interior and coastal districts, are likely to experience scattered, mild showers through the day.
Areas predicted to receive light rain include Ballari, Chitradurga, Davangere, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Bengaluru, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada and parts of Udupi. The weather department noted that these showers will be mild but widespread across these zones.

With this change in weather pattern, maximum temperatures are expected to fall sharply during the daytime, creating a distinctly cooler atmosphere across the state. Meteorologists have indicated that this dip will be significant compared to the recent warm spell.
For Bengaluru, the forecast suggests a maximum temperature of around 22°C and a minimum temperature of 18°C. Cloudy skies, mild rain and persistent cool winds are likely to shape the city’s weather over the next few days.

Reports indicate that the colder conditions are expected to last for at least the next three days, continuing the winter-like feel across many regions. The weather department has stated that this pattern is directly linked to the impact of the Ditwah cyclone, which is influencing moisture flow and temperature behaviour.
The Meteorological Centre in Bengaluru, with scientific briefing by CS Patil, has confirmed that the city and nearby districts will remain under this light-rain, low-temperature spell for the immediate short term.
