New enterprise logistics service and Namma Metro ticketing go live on Uber as the company expands its digital mobility push
Uber has strengthened its footprint in Bengaluru by introducing Uber Direct, its new B2B logistics service, along with ONDC-backed metro ticketing for Namma Metro users. With these additions, the company aims to build a seamless digital ecosystem that connects mobility, commerce, and enterprise delivery in one of India’s most tech-driven cities.
The company said that the launches reflect its growing participation in India’s digital public infrastructure, helping simplify urban travel, same-day delivery, and back-end logistics for millions of users.

Uber Direct works differently from regular consumer-facing delivery options. It is designed exclusively for enterprises and functions quietly in the background while customers place orders on a brand’s own app or website.
With Uber Direct:
• Users order from the brand directly
• Uber handles the delivery in the backend
• Customers do not interact with Uber at any stage
Currently active in Bengaluru, the service is fulfilling deliveries for groceries, essentials, and gifts. Uber confirmed that the platform will soon handle food deliveries as well, supporting brands including major chains like KFC, Burger King, Three Bolt, and other homegrown restaurants. The service operates as a plug-and-play logistics layer that businesses can integrate with minimal effort.

Namma Metro tickets now available on Uber
Alongside Uber Direct, the company has extended its ONDC-led metro ticketing feature to Bengaluru. The integration, earlier launched in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, now enables commuters to buy QR-based BMRCL metro tickets directly through the Uber app.
Payment for these tickets is available exclusively through UPI, and commuters will also be able to view real-time updates related to Namma Metro operations.
Uber announced that it intends to expand both these services, enterprise logistics and metro ticketing, to additional Indian cities in 2026, underscoring its long-term plans to support the country’s evolving mobility and logistics network.
