Uber launches India’s first dedicated Uber black pickup zones at Bengaluru airport

Uber, in partnership with BIAL, launched India’s first dedicated Uber Black and Uber Comfort pickup zones at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, offering premium amenities and trained staff to enhance the travel experience for millions annually.

Kempegowda International Airport partners with Uber to introduce premium Uber Black and Uber Comfort pickup zones, enhancing the airport travel experience.

Uber, in collaboration with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has launched India’s first dedicated Uber Black pickup zones at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) across Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. This initiative, effective from August 11, also includes Uber Comfort rides, aimed at providing a seamless and premium travel experience for passengers.

The new pickup zones are equipped with enhanced facilities such as water dispensers, charging stations, a staffed helpdesk kiosk, and trained on-ground personnel to assist commuters. Uber ensures that high-rated drivers and well-appointed vehicles form part of this service, marking its first-ever Uber Black zone at any Indian airport.

Arnab Kumar, Director of Business Development for Uber India and South Asia, stated that Bengaluru airport is a crucial hub, and the launch enhances passenger experience right from the terminal exit.

Kempegowda International Airport, handling over 41.88 million passengers in FY 2024–25, stands as the busiest airport in South India and the third largest in the country. It has recently crossed 350 million cumulative passengers since its inception and leads India in perishable cargo handling for the fourth consecutive year.
