Cloudy skies and intermittent showers are likely over Bengaluru and several southern districts over the next two days due to a pressure drop over the Bay of Bengal.
Weather conditions across south interior Karnataka are set to remain unsettled over the next 48 hours, with several districts likely to experience unexpected spells of rain. Early assessments indicate that a drop in air pressure over the Bay of Bengal is pushing moisture inland, creating favourable conditions for light to moderate showers in select regions.

Cloudy skies have already begun to appear in parts of the state, and this pattern is expected to continue. Bengaluru city and rural areas, along with districts such as Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kolar and Ramanagara, are among the regions where brief rainfall may occur. The likelihood of intermittent rain remains high through today and tomorrow, and residents in these areas may notice persistent cloud cover throughout the day.
While widespread heavy rainfall is not anticipated, the current atmospheric setup supports short spells of unseasonal showers. These conditions are typical when moisture from the Bay of Bengal interacts with local wind patterns in the southern interior region.

According to early inputs from weather authorities, isolated pockets across the state could see sudden light rain, though the overall impact is expected to remain mild. Nevertheless, the cloudy and cool conditions may offer brief relief from typical daytime temperatures.
