Bengaluru, famously known as the Silicon City, is currently grappling with a new menace: rampaging bulls. With leopards already posing a threat, the recent surge in bull attacks has left residents deeply concerned.

In a distressing incident captured on CCTV, an elderly couple in BTM Layout fell victim to a charging bull while walking home. The footage, aired on NewsFirst channel, depicts the harrowing encounter that left the old man injured and shaken.

The situation has escalated with reports of multiple bull attacks surfacing across the city. In response, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Animal Husbandry Department have initiated ‘Operation Bull’ to address the growing threat.

The recent incident prompted action, leading to the capture of the aggressive bull responsible for the attack. It has since been relocated to a Goshala in Mahadevpur.

As part of the operation, authorities are gearing up to relocate around 1,200 dangerous bulls in Bengaluru. The BBMP has called upon the Animal Husbandry Department to provide suitable space for the relocated animals.

With the summer heat exacerbating the bulls’ aggression, residents are urged to remain cautious while navigating the city’s streets. The joint efforts of the BBMP and the Animal Husbandry Department aim to mitigate the risk posed by these unpredictable animals and ensure the safety of Bengaluru’s populace.
