The 2021 Karnataka State Film Awards recognize the best in cinema, honoring actors, directors, musicians, and filmmakers across multiple categories, celebrating excellence in regional and children’s films.
The Karnataka State Film Awards 2021 have been officially announced, celebrating excellence in Kannada cinema across multiple categories. Rakshit Shetty received the Best Actor award for his performance in 777 Charlie, while Archana Jois was honored as Best Actress for her role in Mute.
The prestigious Best Film award went to Doddahatti Boregowda, while 777 Charlie secured the Second Best Film, and Bisilu Kudure received the Third Best Film award. Yuvaratna, starring Puneeth Rajkumar, was recognized as the Best Popular Entertainment Film.

Other key acting honors included Pramod as Best Supporting Actor for Ratnan Prapanch, and Umashree as Best Supporting Actress for the same film. Rising stars were acknowledged with Baby Bhairavi winning Best Child Actress (Bhairavi) and Master Athish Shetty winning Best Child Actor (Cake).
In music categories, Ajanish Keshavarao and Sahana Bharadwaj won Best Playback Singer and Best Female Playback Singer, respectively. The Best Music Director award went to Imtiaz Sultan for Bisilu Kudure, while Best Lyricist was Nagarjuna Sharma (777 Charlie), and Best Compilation went to Prateek Shetty (777 Charlie).
Direction awards highlighted exceptional talent, with Ravi Santehaklu recognized as Best Art Director (Bajrangi-2), Shankar Guru winning Best Debut Director (Badava Rascal), and Shivkumar S. honored as Best Production Manager (Pogaru). Cinematography awards were led by Bhunavesh Prabhu (Amchi Samsar – Konkani).

Storytelling and screenplay awards included Best Screenplay to Raghu K.M. (Doddahatti Boregowda) and Best Story to Manjunath Muniyappa (9 Sullu Kathegalu). Special jury awards recognized Bhairavi as Best Film, Yogi G. Raju (Bajrangi-2) for Best Costume Design, and Shivkumar (Thayi Kastur Gandhi) for Best Production.
The awards also recognized regional cinema, with Nadapada Asha (Kodava) receiving Best Regional Language Film, Cake winning Best Children’s Film, and India Prjeya Galu Namma (Special Kallakali) recognized as Special Jury Film.
