Chandan Shetty, Nivedita Gowda address the media

They say rumours spread fast like wildfire

    They reiterate divorce is consensual

Star couple Nivedita Gowda and Chandan Shetty addressed the media days after their divorce.

Clearing several lies, Chandan lamented how false news spread fast, while good news doesn’t. He said, “I am not depressed. Good news doesn’t spread, while gossip spreads like wildfire. I need some time to get out of this. Nivedita is also doing news projects. I thank all the media men for supporting us. Rumours have become the norm of the day.”

On being questioned why the two were not taking any punitive action against those spreading who were resorting to tarnishing their image, he said, ”There is a limit for everything. If things go out of hand, I will certainly take recourse to law.”

It was last week that the two separated amicably. There were rumours that the two bid goodbye as they had differences in raising a family and that she was flying abroad to pursue her studies. Sidelining all these rumours, the two reiterated that the divorce is mutual and the two respect each other and value their decisions.

It might also be recalled that a third person had entered their lives and he had infused bad blood in their relationship. Again, on this issue, the two binned it saying that they were all a family.
