Karnataka Milk Federation rolls out low-cost milk and curd sachets, targeting bachelors and small households; scheme inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has announced a major consumer-friendly initiative by introducing milk and curd packets priced at just ₹10, bringing much-needed relief to the people of the state. The move is aimed at making essential dairy products affordable, especially for bachelors and individuals living alone.
Under the new initiative, 160 ml milk packets will be sold for ₹10, while 140 ml curd packets will also be available at the same price. Earlier, KMF was offering milk and curd only in 200 ml packets, which were relatively costlier for consumers who required smaller quantities. With the introduction of these compact packs, KMF hopes to reduce wastage and improve accessibility.
The low-cost dairy products were symbolically inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, marking the official launch of the scheme. KMF officials have stated that the ₹10 milk and curd packets will soon be available at all Nandini milk booths and outlets across Bengaluru and the rest of Karnataka.
In addition to milk and curd, KMF has also introduced flavoured beverages to cater to changing consumer preferences. Mango lassi and strawberry lassi will be sold at ₹15 per packet, expanding affordable choices for customers.

The initiative is expected to benefit urban consumers significantly, especially in Bengaluru, where demand for smaller, budget-friendly food options is high. Bachelors, working professionals, and people living in single-member households are likely to find these packs more convenient and economical.
