Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has assured both Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar of separate meetings in Delhi, signaling crucial discussions ahead for the state’s leadership.

During his visit to Mysuru, Gandhi held talks with Siddaramaiah, who sought time for a oneone meeting. The Chief Minister reportedly raised the issue of a cabinet reshuffle and pressed for clarity on the party’s direction. Siddaramaiah also briefed Gandhi on the ongoing assembly session and challenges surrounding the MNREGA program. After listening to the explanation, Gandhi assured him of a meeting in Delhi soon before departing for the capital.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar also requested time with Gandhi in Mysuru. Responding to the appeal, Gandhi asked him to come to Delhi for detailed discussions. Sources suggest Shivakumar intends to raise significant political developments, including leadership matters, during his meeting. His proactive approach has drawn attention, particularly as the Congress high command weighs internal adjustments in Karnataka.

The twin requests highlight growing anticipation within the state’s ruling party over possible changes in the cabinet and leadership roles. Gandhi’s decision to accommodate both leaders in Delhi underscores the importance of balancing competing interests within the Congress as it navigates Karnataka’s political landscape.
