According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, Arista Networks CEO Jayshree Ullal now leads the global ranking of Indian-origin professional executives by net worth.
For years, global discussions around wealthy Indian-origin technology leaders have largely revolved around Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. However, despite heading two of the world’s most influential companies, neither currently holds the top position among Indian-origin professional executives.
That distinction now belongs to Jayshree Ullal, President and CEO of Arista Networks, according to the Hurun India Rich List 2025. With a net worth estimated at ₹50,170 crore, Ullal has emerged as the richest Indian-origin professional manager globally, surpassing her Silicon Valley peers.
The list places Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in second position with a net worth of ₹9,770 crore, while Google CEO Sundar Pichai ranks seventh with ₹5,810 crore.

Jayshree Ullal has been leading the computer networking company Arista Networks since 2008. Under her leadership, the publicly listed firm has seen rapid growth. Forbes reported that Arista posted revenues of $7 billion in 2024, marking an increase of nearly 20 percent compared to the previous year.
Originally from Mangaluru, Ullal belongs to the GSB Smartha Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin community and is widely regarded as one of the most respected Indian-origin business leaders on the global stage. She holds around a 3 percent stake in Arista Networks, a portion of which has been allocated to her two children, daughter-in-law and nephew.
Born on March 27, 1961, in London to an Indian-origin Hindu family, Ullal moved to India at the age of five. According to Bloomberg, her father, a physicist, worked with India’s Ministry of Education and played a role in the development of Indian technology institutions. She studied at Jesus and Mary Convent in New Delhi before relocating to San Francisco due to her father’s professional commitments.
As per her LinkedIn profile, Ullal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from San Francisco State University. She later completed her master’s degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University in 1986. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering in 2025.
Her early career began in the semiconductor industry, with roles at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Fairchild Semiconductor. Her career gained momentum at Crescendo Communications, where she served as Vice President of Marketing before the company was acquired by Cisco in 1993. At Cisco, Ullal played a key role in scaling the switching division into one of the company’s core business verticals before exiting in 2008.
She joined Arista Networks the same year, when the company had fewer than 30 employees and operated from the basement of a law firm. Over time, she transformed Arista into a global leader in cloud networking. Ullal is currently based in San Francisco.
