Thai authorities detained the brothers on Thursday following a request from the Goa Police and the Government of India. The international action was initiated after Interpol issued a Blue Corner Notice against both men, enabling global agencies to track their movements and assist in their detention.

According to officials, once the alert was issued, Thai police began monitoring multiple locations in Phuket. The brothers were soon traced and taken into custody without resistance. Indian officials confirmed that a police team from India has already landed at Phuket International Airport to formally take custody of the accused.

As per procedure, the Luthra brothers will first be brought to Delhi, where immigration and legal formalities will be completed. They will then be handed over to the Goa Police, who are leading the probe into the fire tragedy.

Both Delhi and Goa Police forces have been in constant coordination with Thai authorities throughout the process. Deportation formalities are currently underway, and officials expect the brothers to be brought back to India by tonight or tomorrow.
