On this day in 2001, Narendra Modi took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. Today, he celebrates 25 years of serving India, thanking citizens for their continuous support and trust.

Reflecting on his journey, he said in his social media post that his constant endeavor has been to improve lives and contribute to national progress. Over the last 11 years at the national level, India has witnessed transformative changes, driven by collective efforts of its people.

Modi highlighted the empowerment of citizens across key sectors, Nari Shakti (women’s empowerment), Yuva Shakti (youth), and hardworking Annadatas (farmers). Over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, and India is now seen as a bright spot among global economies.
Under his leadership, India has developed one of the largest healthcare and social security schemes in the world. Farmers have innovated and strengthened the country’s self-reliance, reflecting the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Popular campaigns promoting local products under the call of ‘Garv Se Kaho, Yeh Swadeshi Hai’ have furthered this mission.

Expressing gratitude, Modi said that serving the nation is the highest honor, guided by the values of the Constitution of India. He reaffirmed his commitment to work harder to realize the collective dream of a Viksit Bharat, a prosperous and developed India.
