In the wake of the tragic stampede at a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor-politician Vijay have announced significant financial assistance for the victims' families.
In a heartbreaking incident at a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, 39 people lost their lives, and several others were injured in a stampede that shook the state. The rally, organized by actor-turned-politician Vijay's party, saw massive crowds exceeding the permitted limit, leading to chaos and tragedy.

In response to the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of each of the deceased. Injured victims will receive ₹50,000 each as immediate relief. The Prime Minister expressed his deep sorrow and assured that the central government will extend all possible support to the affected families.

Actor Vijay, who has been personally affected by the tragedy, also announced compensation for the victims. He pledged ₹20 lakh to each bereaved family and ₹2 lakh to each person injured in the stampede. Vijay stated that his thoughts are with the families who have suffered immense loss and that he remains committed to supporting them through this difficult period.
