    Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions

    All vehicular movement is restricted around Palace Road

    Citizens are urged to plan their travel accordingly

In anticipation of the Lok Sabha election vote counting on June 4, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced comprehensive traffic diversions and route adjustments across the city to ensure smooth operations.

For Mount Carmel College on Palace Road, all vehicular movement is restricted from Old High Ground Junction and the Vasanthnagar underbridge towards the college. Motorists traveling from Palace Cross to Mount Carmel College, Kalpana Junction, and Chandrika Junction should detour via Chakravarti Layout, Palace Road, turn left at the underbridge, proceed to M V Jayaram Road and Old Udaya TV Junction to reach Cantonment Railway Station Road.

Drivers coming from Basaveshwara Junction towards Old Udaya TV Junction and Jayamahal Road are advised to head towards Old High Grounds Junction, Kalpana Junction, turn right to Chandrika Junction, left to Ayyappa Temple and Old Udaya TV junction, then either turn left to M V Jayaram Road or continue straight to Jayamahal Road.

Traffic around SSMRV College on 36th Cross Road, Jayanagar 4th ‘T’ Block, will be prohibited on the 36th Cross Road between 18th Main and 28th Main Roads and on 26th Main Road between 32nd E Cross and 39th Cross Road. Alternative routes include East End Main Road, 39th Cross Road, 18th Main Road, and 32nd ‘E’ Cross Road.

Additionally, parking restrictions are in place around St Joseph’s College, affecting RRMR Road, Vittal Mallya Road, NR Road, KB Road, KG Road, Nrupatunga Road, Queen’s Road, Central Street Road, and MG Road. Parking is available at St Joseph’s College Grounds and the Kanteerava Stadium parking lot.
