The final and seventh phase of the Parliament election is set for June 1, with the campaign wrapping up on May 30. During his retreat, PM Modi will visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a significant site where Swami Vivekananda meditated and is believed to have attained enlightenment after three days of contemplation.

This memorial is situated approximately 500 meters off the mainland at the junction of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea. According to Hindu traditions, this rock is also where Goddess Kanniyakumari (Parvati) performed penance in devotion to Lord Shiva. A small projection on the rock is considered to be an imprint of her foot, adding to the site’s spiritual importance.

PM Modi often undertakes spiritual journeys at the end of election campaigns. He visited Kedarnath in 2019 and Shivaji’s Pratapgarh in 2014 after the respective campaigns.

The Lok Sabha election, held in seven phases starting April 19, will conclude with the results being announced on June 4. PM Modi and the BJP are hoping for a victory that exceeds their performance in the 2019 elections.
