In a startling turn of events, JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna and his father, former Karnataka minister HD Revanna, a case has been booked against them related to rape and kidnapping. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police filed a rape case against Prajwal Revanna under Section 376 of the IPC, encompassing charges including committing rape repeatedly, criminal intimidation, demand for sexual favor, assault with the intention to disrobe, and uploading of nude or semi-nude pictures, along with violations of the IT Act.

Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and a prominent figure in JD(S), stands as the sole accused in the FIR submitted by the SIT to the magistrate’s court. Concurrently, a separate kidnapping case has been lodged against the MP under Sections 364A and 365 of the IPC by one Raju HD. Raju alleges that his mother was forcibly taken away on April 29 and subsequently subjected to sexual harassment, with videos of the disturbing incidents circulating on social media platforms.

According to Raju’s complaint, he and his mother had previously worked at the Revanna household and farm for six years before quitting three years ago. The complaint further alleges that a person identified as Satish took Raju’s mother away to a different region shortly before the onset of the Lok Sabha elections. These fresh cases add another layer of complexity to the already contentious sex tapes scandal involving the Revanna father-son duo.
