Smriti Mandhana cancels wedding with Palash Muchhal after health scares & rumours; Muchhal vows strict legal action against defamatory gossip
Team India’s star cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have officially announced the cancellation of their wedding, which was scheduled for November 23, 2025. The couple, who had been in the spotlight for months over their impending nuptials, confirmed the development through social media posts, ending speculation but sparking widespread discussion.
Mandhana, known for her private nature, kept her statement brief, simply clarifying that the marriage had broken down and requesting privacy. Muchhal, however, issued a detailed note, expressing his disappointment at the way rumours had overshadowed the relationship. “I have decided to move on with my life and step back from my personal relationship,” he wrote, calling the situation the most difficult phase of his life.

Muchhal strongly condemned the “baseless gossip” that circulated online during the postponement period, stressing that unverified claims had caused immense personal pain. He urged society to pause before judging individuals based on speculation and warned that his team would pursue strict legal action against those spreading defamatory content.
The wedding had already seen pre‑profile events of the year.
Instead, the union has ended abruptly, with Mandhana turning her focus back to cricket and Muchhal vowing to defend his reputation against damaging rumours.
