Royal Challengers Bengaluru builds a strong, balanced squad with a clear strategy of low-cost, high-value signings while retaining its core stars.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru executed one of the most calculated approaches in the latest women’s league auction, stepping in with a clear plan to secure effective players without overspending. The franchise, which retained its key unit of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh and Shreyanka Patil, focused on expanding its depth with dependable performers rather than chasing expensive bids.
In a rare display of financial discipline, RCB did not invest even a single crore on any new buy. Their highest purchase of the day was England pacer Lauren Bell, signed for ₹90 lakh, making her the costliest addition of the auction for the team.

The squad saw a major boost with the inclusion of several proven Indian names. RCB successfully secured Radha Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy and Prema Rawat, strengthening their domestic bowling and all-round options. These picks add experience, versatility and reliability across departments.
The franchise also placed emphasis on global talent that fits its balance. The team added Australian batter Georgia Voll, power-hitter Grace Harris, South Africa’s all-rounder Nadine de Klerk, and England spinner Linsey Smith. The mix of pace, spin, and middle-order power gives RCB a more complete lineup compared to previous seasons.
Additional acquisitions such as Hemalatha, Gautami Naik and Pratyosh Kumar expand RCB’s bench strength, ensuring flexibility throughout the tournament.
