Clean victory for the Game Changers panel in the 2025 KSCA polls
The Karnataka State Cricket Association’s 2025 elections concluded with a clear verdict in favour of the Game Changers panel, led by former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad. He secured a convincing win in the presidential contest, receiving 749 votes, while opponent Shanth Kumar finished with 558 votes.

The mandate extended across all major administrative posts. Sujith Somsundar was elected Vice President, while the Secretary position went to Santosh Menon. The panel further strengthened its hold with BK Ravi elected as Joint Secretary, and BN Madhukar taking charge as Treasurer.
A defining element of the Prasad-led group’s campaign was its focus on restoring mainstream cricket to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The venue has not hosted major domestic or international matches since the stampede incident that occurred outside the stadium during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s title celebrations. In its manifesto and earlier press briefings, the panel had highlighted the need to “actively work towards bringing cricket back to Chinnaswamy” and ensure that the stadium once again becomes a regular home for high-profile fixtures.

With the elections now settled, attention shifts to how the new office-bearers will implement their promises and steer the association's administrative and cricketing priorities in the coming term.
