Indian Railways is set to launch a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Bengaluru and Ernakulam, promising faster and more comfortable travel across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The semi-high-speed train will operate six days a week, excluding Wednesdays, which are reserved for maintenance.

According to the official timetable, the train will depart Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and arrive in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM. On the return journey, it will leave Bengaluru at 5:10 AM and reach Ernakulam by 1:50 PM, offering convenient options for both early morning and late evening travelers.

The route includes key stops in Kerala—Thrissur, Palakkad, and Ernakulam Junction—enhancing access for passengers from central regions of the state. In Tamil Nadu, the train will halt at Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, and Salem, before reaching Krishnarajapuram in Karnataka. These stops connect major industrial and textile hubs, making the service particularly beneficial for business commuters and traders.

This marks the first dedicated Vande Bharat service on the Bengaluru–Ernakulam corridor, significantly cutting travel time and offering upgraded amenities such as ergonomic seating, improved catering, and modern onboard features.

The new route is expected to boost regional connectivity, especially for professionals commuting between Kerala and Bengaluru’s IT sector. It also caters to weekend and festival travelers, providing a reliable and efficient alternative to existing services.

By linking economic centers like Coimbatore and Tiruppur, the train adds value to South India’s manufacturing and textile industries. With its strategic schedule and enhanced comfort, the Vande Bharat Express is poised to become a preferred choice for both leisure and business travel across the southern states.
